Rose Carter Memorial Scholarship

Rose Carter was a long-time employee of Fresh Texas who we tragically lost in an accident in May 2021. Rose raised three strong boys, and she always focused on making their education a priority.  We continue to commemorate her life with this annual scholarship fund meant to benefit our employees' children or grandchildren who seek to pursue a higher education.

 

2024 Scholarship Recipients

Hana Spence & Lion David Nyundo

We're thrilled to announce that this year we were able to award two Rose Carter Memorial Scholarship recipients! This fall Lion Nyundo will embark on his final year at Huston-Tillotson University focusing his studies in business. Hana Spence will commence her undergraduate studies at UTSA pursuing coursework in education.

We're extremely proud to support them on this great opportunity to learn and grow, both academically and personally!

2023 Scholarship Recipient

Ariana Rodriguez

This year, the award went to Ariana Rodriguez, daughter of Jessica Sanchez, Sales Operations Manager & Systems Administrator in San Antonio. Jessica, who was friends with Rose, states that she would be proud to hear this news. 

Ariana will be attending Central Wyoming College this fall and will be focusing their studies on Finance. They will also be playing on their women's basketball team. Go Rustlers! 

“College is important to me because we get paid for our knowledge in the real world and with any degree on your belt, I learned that college would help guide and help anyone accomplish a higher position, better knowledge, and a stronger mentality”, says Ariana who will be the first in her family to attend a higher education institution. 

2022 Scholarship Recipient

Nader Nasereldin Sabil Ismail

Nader Ismail will be included alongside Rose Carter's son, Joseph Martinez, who was given the award last year in her honor. Nader will be following his studies in Petroleum Engineering at Angelo State University this fall.

Nawal Ali states, "we would like to thank the Rose Carter Memorial Scholarship represented by Fresh From Texas for giving my son Nader Ismail the Rose Carter memorial Scholarship. The whole family thanks you from the bottom of our hearts for this great opportunity and for this great experience."
